Valenco / The Protein Guide

Stop buying protein by the tub.
See what you actually pay per gram.

The price on the tub is the number brands want you to compare. The number that matters is cost per gram of protein. Here is ours, and a tool to check yours.

Grab these three numbers off any tub.
Enter your tub's price, serving count, and protein per serving to see how it compares.
How to read any label in 30 seconds:
  1. Divide the tub price by the serving count. That is your cost per serving.
  2. Divide that by grams of protein per serving. That is your cost per gram.
  3. Compare it to the tub next to it. Lowest cost per gram of real protein wins.
Run it on ours too. If a tub beats us on cost per gram of the same protein, buy that one. The point is that you can check the math instead of trusting the price tag.

Valenco protein grams and servings are read off the printed Supplement Facts panel of each tub. Lab tested every batch, certificate of analysis on record. Prices shown are current retail and may change.

Common questions

How do you calculate cost per gram of protein?
Divide the tub price by the number of servings to get cost per serving, then divide that by the grams of protein per serving. The result is your true cost per gram, and it is the only number that lets you compare two tubs fairly because it cancels out scoop size and serving count.
What is a good cost per gram of protein for whey?
Mass-market whey usually runs about 6 to 10 cents per gram of protein. Premium isolates often sit at 12 to 20 cents once you do the math. Valenco whey runs roughly 8 to 10 cents per gram, with the grams and full Supplement Facts printed on every tub so you can check it yourself.
Is a bigger tub always cheaper per gram?
Not always. A larger tub can still cost more per gram if it uses a smaller scoop, a lower protein density, or a premium markup on the same protein. Run the per-gram math instead of assuming the big tub wins.
Why is cost per serving better than the price on the tub?
The tub price is the number brands want you to compare, because the padding hides in the per-serving math: a smaller scoop, more filler, or a sticker on the same protein. Cost per serving, and then cost per gram, is where you see what you are actually paying for.
Does Valenco publish its lab testing?
Yes. Every batch is lab tested and a Certificate of Analysis is on record. The full Supplement Facts panel is printed on every product, so the dose you see before buying is the dose you get.
